Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This policy describes what personal information “Madrese Rabete” collects when you visit our website, use the user panel, or purchase services, how we use it, and who we share it with. It forms an integral part of our Terms of Service.

Personal information we collect

Device information

When you visit the site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual pages you view, what website or search term referred you to us, and how you interact with the site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”, and we collect it using the following technologies:

  • Cookies are data files placed on your device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more about cookies and how to disable them, visit allaboutcookies.org.
  • Log files track actions occurring on the site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • Web beacons, tags, and pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the site.

Information you give us

When you create an account or complete your profile we collect your first and last name, email address, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), and optionally your phone number, country, gender, birth year, and profile picture. The last three are optional and are used only to personalize content and the invitations you receive. The time zone used to display dates is kept in your own browser.

Order information

When you make or attempt to make a purchase, we collect order information including your name, billing address, email address, phone number, and payment information. We refer to this as “Order Information”. Your card details are never stored on our servers; they are processed directly by our payment provider, Stripe. What we retain is the payment status, amount, currency, and transaction reference.

Content and answers you submit

We retain your posts and comments in “هم‌دل”, your podcast comments, your book and counselor reviews and ratings, your library membership form answers, and your answers to event registration questions. Some of these, such as approved “هم‌دل” posts, are public. Form answers are not public and are visible only to authorized staff.

When we talk about “personal information” in this policy, we mean all of the categories above.

The content of counseling sessions

We do not have access to, and do not retain, the content of what is exchanged between you and your provider. Professional session records, where they exist, are kept by the provider themselves under their own professional and legal obligations. To understand how those records are kept, you should ask your provider directly.

How we use your personal information

  • Creating and maintaining your account and verifying your identity by email.
  • Fulfilling orders, issuing invoices, processing payments, and sending confirmations.
  • Providing the platform's services: session booking, event registration, library membership, and publishing content in “هم‌دل”.
  • Communicating with you, including session, event, and invoice due-date reminders.
  • Screening orders for potential risk or fraud, in particular using your IP address.
  • Improving and optimizing the site and services, including analyzing how members use them and assessing the success of our outreach.
  • Sending promotional messages, such as event invitations, in line with the preferences you have shared with us.
  • Reviewing member-submitted content and enforcing the community rules.
  • Responding to legal requirements and defending our own legal rights.

We also reserve the right to use your non-personal information, meaning information that does not reveal your identity, for purposes including statistical analysis and policy-making.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following, and only to the extent needed to provide the services:

  • Stripe, to process payments. Its privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Brevo, to send service and promotional email and record its delivery status.
  • Google Analytics, to help us understand how members use the site. How Google uses this information is described at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • The provider you book a session with, limited to the information needed to hold the session.
  • Legal authorities, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information, and to otherwise protect our rights.

Advertising and unsubscribing

We may use your information to send you promotional messages or invitations we believe may be of interest to you. Every promotional message carries an unsubscribe link in its footer, and it takes effect with one click. Unsubscribing affects promotional messages only; essential service messages such as account verification, invoices, and session reminders continue to be sent.

For more about how targeted advertising works, see the Network Advertising Initiative's educational page at networkadvertising.org. You can opt out of some of these services through the Digital Advertising Alliance's portal at optout.aboutads.info.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Your rights

Please also note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data retention

We retain your account and order information for as long as you hold an active account, and thereafter until you ask us to delete it. Deletion is carried out by deactivating the account and withdrawing it from public surfaces; certain records, such as invoices and financial documentation, are retained to the extent required by law or to defend our legal rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed password storage, and limiting staff access to what is necessary. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protecting your own password and device is your responsibility.

Minors

The site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we hold such information, we delete it.
